A fortnight in California – the most beautiful places

I am sitting here, writing and big elephant tear drops are running over my cheeks and dripping on my laptops keyboard. I am pretty happy not to be seven years old anymore and forced to write with a fountain pen – by then when I had to cry over my work, the ink would smudge and I had to write everything again (as if it were not bad enough to cry).

But why am I crying today?

I had to bring my Conni to the airport.

Kiki turns 40! – “What I would like for my birthday…”

Yeeees, on the 9th of November I indeed turn 40. And noooo, I can’t believe it. But as my friends around me also do have countless forty candles on their birthday cakes it could be true, and not a tipo in my birth certificate…

When I was eight years old I thought my friend’s older sister is incredibly matured – and old. She was fourteen. You can imagine what I thought of forty-year-olds!

I wake up. I’m lying naked on the bed – must have been another hot night… Indeed, the heater is at top speed and Matthis shivers feverish under a huge amount of blankets. Inside it has 100°F, I suppose.

High Peaks Trail at Pinnacles National Park + 2 1/2 snakes

The trail starts at Old Pinnacles Trailhead Parking which is located close to the east entrance of Pinnacles National Park – Carsten gets the last parking space, at 10:15 am! If you wanna be independent and rather drive your car than  go by shuttlebus from the visitor center – don’t come too late!

Kiki is going to be a volunteer in Costa Rica

The 14th of July is approaching. And what do one do on July 14th?
One – I do not know. But I have to leave the US: my visa expires with this date …

For a long time I was thinking back and forth, and here and there, what the heck I should do.

Should I go home, back to Austria? – No, that’s just too far. So if Austria, then for sure not going but flying.

Kiki is giving a cooking class in Stanford

Well, that’s a headline, right? Therefore, it was a little quiet in Kiki’s Blog. Eventually one have to prepare oneself!
